Christmas Card-2010

Description

This year has been marked by the number 3.

Our 3rd precious gift will be arriving in 3 months (and it's a girl), the ultrasound at the hospital was in 3d, my kids only watch 3D movies, and the 3D TV is all over the place...

So in the big tradition of catching the sign of the times, the Christmas Card this year is no stranger to the 3D revolution, in both theme and execution.
The theme is "Cinema" and the execution is in "Anaglyph" ( [link] ).

PS: you will need the Red/Blue glasses ( [link] ) to view the second option, the regular 3D glasses used in the cinema will not work. Check this ( [link] ) if you have some time on your hands.

To push things further, (especially for you movie geeks :) there are 6 hidden movie references in the card, have fun finding them.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
Habib

The Answers (:

1- THE SOUND OF MUSIC: the title of the ultrasound in the screen : [link]

2- STAR WARS: the scrolling text is similar to the opening of all episodes : [link]

3- NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: My character is wearing a shirt similar to Freddy Krueger's : [link]

4- TRANSFORMERS : The ultrasound machine is an Autobot and is shaped as their logo : [link]

5- STAR TREK: My character is doing the "vulcan salute" ( live long and prosper) : [link]

6- TERMINATOR 2: The red dot on my son's glasses is a reference to the T-800 terminator : [link]

Cheers,

I like it! I used the red/blue glasses that I got with a DVD but it didn't work.
I'm not a movie geek (and I doubt I will find anything) but it won't hurt to try: your hand sign is known for Spock (Star Trek), the base of the ultrasound screen is usually yellow but I can't remember where I saw it. The Ultrasound of Music might be The Sound of Music but it's a really old movie (70s maybe). That's it I guess.
